participated, along with the concert of Faramarz Aslani. More than 400 people attended.

FREEDOM RALLY
To show our solidarity with the Iranian People in the struggle for freedom from a criminal regime of the Islamic Republic, and to express our condolences for the loss of two lives as well, we held a rally in Altamonte Springs. About 100 people gathered with a 2 day announcement to show their solidarity. January 3, 2010- Global Candlelight Vigil 4 Iran in conjunction with many cities all around the world. We came together to light candles not only to mourn the brutal killings of Ashura, but also to once again illuminate the very strength and resolve of the people of Iran.  .
February 11, 2010 - 22 Bahman 31 years later. Rally for Democracy
and Freedom in Iran in downtown Orlando.
Over 180 people in Central Florida participated, on this global day of solidarity, in a peaceful rally to show their support for democracy, freedom of speech and respect for human rights in Iran.  March 7th 2010 - The Internation woman's day was observed by more than 100 participants. A panel
of prominent women spoke about this day and woman struggle and did a presentation. There was also films and music for woman's
day obervation.
 June 11, 2010 for 22 Khordad - One year after the disputed 2009 Iranian election, Orlando and 86 cities participated in a Global Rally. Orlando held a 25 mile car rally beginning from the City Hall routed thru Orlando area. Each city "adopted'' and prominently featured a prisoner of conscience in order to personalize him or her. We adopted Amir Reza Arefi, Mohsen Daneshpour and Ahmad Daneshpour ( Father and Son ) all with execution sentence.    |
